  • Test Your System

    How To Test Your System

We Test All Your System Components

When EMC Security installed your alarm system, or if we converted your monitoring from a previous service provider, we tested all of your system components at that time to ensure they were properly communicating to the central station facility.

Phone line failures, lightning or power surges, or a change in phone service (adding DSL or Internet Protocol service) may cause your normally reliable security system to become incapable of doing its job.

EMC Security encourages all of our customers to test their systems monthly to ensure their system is ready in the event of an emergency.

Here’s what you can do to test your system

    1. Call the 24-hour EMC Security central monitoring center at 1-833-700-0294 and let them know you will be testing your system. Be prepared to provide them with your name, service address and password. (Your password is the secret word you provided on your original paperwork, that allows the monitoring center to identify you as the account holder.)
    2. Close all doors and protected windows, arm your system and allow the delay time to expire.
    3. Activate your alarm like an actual emergency by opening a protected door, pressing your panic or hold-up buttons, etc.
    4. Allow your sirens (if an audible alarm) to sound for approximately 15 seconds to one minute and then turn off your system.
    5. Call the monitoring center and announce that you are calling to check test results. The central station operator will describe the signals received.
    6. Ask the operator to take the system off test.

If for any reason, the system did not communicate to our central monitoring center, please call our service department at 770-963-0305, Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm and we will arrange for one of our qualified technicians to check your system.

  • CAREERS THANK YOU

Thank you for submitting your application and resumé to EMC Security. We will review this and get back to you should we determine that an interview is the next step.

  • Build Your System

By clicking the ‘”Submit” button, you agree that an EMC Security specialist may contact you via text messages or phone calls to the phone number provided by me. Your information is collected and used in accordance with our privacy policy. Msg & data rates apply.

  • The Future of Home Security: AI-Powered Security Cameras and Beyond

The Future of Home Security: AI-Powered Security Cameras and Beyond

Have you ever wondered if your security cameras are doing enough to protect your home?

Sure, they capture footage, but what if they could do more? What if they could recognize faces, detect specific objects, and even predict potential threats?

    • Facial recognition: Never wonder who’s at your door again. AI cameras can identify familiar faces and even alert you when an unknown person is detected.
    • Object detection: Keep track of your valuables. AI cameras can be trained to recognize specific objects, like packages or vehicles, notifying you when they arrive or depart.

Welcome to the future of home security, where AI-powered cameras and other cutting-edge technologies are revolutionizing the way we protect our homes – such as:

    The Rise of AI-Powered Cameras:

AI-powered cameras are the new kids on the block. Unlike traditional cameras that simply record footage, AI-powered cameras leverage artificial intelligence to analyze the video stream in real-time. They can recognize faces, distinguish between people and pets, detect specific objects like packages or vehicles, and even identify suspicious behavior. This allows for more accurate alerts and fewer false alarms, giving you peace of mind knowing your home is truly protected.

As experts point out, ‘AI enabled security camera uses motion detection functions like Tripwire, intrusion, and heat mapping to introduce greater precision and confidence for event detection.’

    The Future of Home Protection:

EMC Security’s commercial security solutions are ahead of the game in developing AI powered technology.

The future of home residential security is all about seamless integration and proactive protection, introducing the technologies we see in the commercial space for a residential platform in the near future.

This futuristic systemnot only alerts you to a potential intruder but also identifies them, tracks their movements, and even predicts their next move. A system that can automatically lock doors, turn on lights, and contact the authorities in case of an emergency. With the advancements in AI and other technologies, this vision is becoming a reality.

It’s a quiet evening, and you’re relaxing at home when suddenly your phone buzzes with a notification. It’s EMC Security’s AI-powered home security system telling you there’s an unfamiliar person in your backyard.

But it doesn’t stop there. The system has already identified the individual from your neighborhood watchlist, tracked their movements across your property, and is now predicting their likely path towards your backdoor. Before you can even react, the system has automatically locked all entrances and turned on the exterior floodlights, casting an intimidating glow on the intruder.

As the would-be burglar hesitates, the system sends a live video feed and their identified profile to the authorities.

It’s a fact that the security camera industry is rapidly evolving. AI-powered cameras, along with other emerging technologies, are transforming the way we protect our homes. By embracing these innovations, you can create a safer and more secure environment for you and your loved ones.

Curious about how AI could enhance your current security system? Schedule a free consultation with our experts today to explore your options and plan for the future of home protection.

  • How Home Security Systems Tip the Odds in Your Favor

How Home Security Systems Tip the Odds in Your Favor

Imagine you’re a burglar, casing a neighborhood for an easy target. Which house are you going to skip? The one with the barking dog? Maybe. The one with the nosy neighbor? Possibly. But the one with the obvious security system? Absolutely.

Let’s talk about why and go through home security tips…

Burglars are Choosy: Think of burglars as opportunistic predators, constantly scanning for the easiest prey. They’re not interested in a challenging heist; they want a quick and quiet in-and-out operation. That’s where your home security system comes into play.

The “No Thanks” List: Studies show that a staggering 60-83% of burglars actively check for security systems and cameras before even attempting a break-in. Your alarm system, cameras, and even those simple window stickers send a clear message: “Not an easy target!

EMC Security has countless examples of customers telling us that an intruder attempted to break-in but when the alarm sounded, they fled.

Flipping the Script: Imagine the burglar’s mindset. They’re casing your neighborhood, weighing their options. They see your house with visible security and another house without. Which one are they more likely to bypass?

The numbers tell the story: 40-60% of burglars admit they would avoid a home altogether if they spotted a security system.

The “Unwelcome Mat” Effect: Beyond the statistics, there’s the psychological impact. Security systems create a sense of unease for burglars, disrupting their plans and increasing the perceived risk of getting caught. Suddenly, your home isn’t just a potential target; it’s a potential trap.

EMC Security customers use their cameras as the first line of defense – catching the criminal on film. The powerhouse security alarm then takes over and becomes the defender at the door.

More Than Meets the Eye: Alarms and cameras are the obvious deterrents, but other security measures can also play a role. Motion-activated lights, smart locks, and even the simple act of keeping your yard well-maintained send signals that you’re a vigilant homeowner.

Don’t let your home be an easy target. Secure your peace of mind today – get a free quote for a personalized home security system! Keep these home security tips in mind!

  • Easy Wins Aren’t an Option Here: Deter Burglars with These Tips

Easy Wins Aren’t an Option Here: Deter Burglars with These Tips

Burglars are always looking for easy targets. They want to get in and out quickly without being caught. If you make your home a hard target, they’ll be more likely to move on to someone else’s house. Check out our tips to stay in the know.

Below are some tips for making your home a fortress against burglars:
    • Install a security system. A monitored alarm system is a great deterrent to burglars. It will make them think twice about breaking into your home. Stats show a home without a security system is 3 times MORE likely to be burglarized.
    • Get security cameras. Security cameras can help you deter burglars and also help you identify them if they do break in.
    • Install motion-activated lights. Motion-activated lights will scare off burglars and also help you see if someone is trying to break into your home at night.
    • Make sure your doors and windows are secure. All of your doors and windows should be made of strong materials and should be properly locked.
    • Create the illusion that you are home. If you are going to be away from home for a while, leave some lights on and set a timer to turn on and off the TV or radio. You can also ask a neighbor to check on your house and collect your mail.
    • Get a dog. Even a small dog can be a deterrent to burglars. Dogs bark and make noise, which will scare off burglars.
    • Keep your valuables out of sight. Don’t leave your valuables lying around where burglars can see them. Put them in a safe place or lock them up.
    • Get to know your neighbors. Having good relationships with your neighbors can help deter burglars. If you know your neighbors, you can look out for each other’s homes.

By following these tips, you can make your home a fortress against burglars. They will see that your home is a hard target and they will move on to someone else’s house.

    Additional tips:
    • Trim your bushes and trees. This will help to make your home more visible from the street and will make it less likely that a burglar will be able to hide.
    • Keep your yard clean and tidy. This will also help to make your home more visible from the street and will make it less likely that a burglar will be able to hide.
    • Install a fence. A fence can help to deter burglars and also help to keep your children and pets safe.
    • Be aware of your surroundings and to trust your gut instinct. If you feel like something is not right, it probably is. Don’t be afraid to call the police if you see something suspicious.
