EMC Security is proud to announce the creation of a new foundation with an initial commitment of $500,000. The Stronger and Safer Communities Foundation supports 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that help build safer and stronger communities.
The fund is administered by the Athens Area Community Foundation and will assist organizations focused on public safety, community programs, and overall well-being.
About the Foundation
The EMC Security Grant Fund was created to empower local nonprofits that make a real difference. Through this initiative, EMC Security is reinforcing its commitment to giving back and supporting the communities where we live and work.
First Round of Grant Recipients
The foundation’s first round of grants was awarded to the following organizations:
- Hall-Dawson CASA – Advocating for abused and neglected children through court-appointed special advocates.
- Project Adam – Providing crisis intervention and support for individuals and families facing addiction.

A Family’s Brush with Danger and Their Unwavering Trust in EMC Security
EMC Security customers, Francis Ajufo and his family experienced an extremely traumatic event at their Lawrenceville home in March. Francis and his wife were downstairs at the kitchen table talking when they heard what they thought were gunshots. Panic rose in their chests as they heard their son’s frantic cries for his mother just moments later.Rushing upstairs, they discovered their son on the floor, unharmed but visibly shaken. It was immediately apparent that the chilling sounds they had heard earlier were indeed gunshots, as bullets had pierced through the wall, narrowly missing their son.
