Inside Sales Representative

Reports to:                 Inside Sales Manager

Summary:

The Inside Sales Representative is a consultative professional sales position in Suwanee, GA. Professionals in this position are responsible for handling inbound leads via phone, email, and chat while also generating outbound opportunities daily. An ideal candidate will be comfortable selling EMC Security services and products to new and prospective customers with a focus on creating a positive customer experience while meeting or exceeding sales quotas.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with existing and potential customers via inbound and outbound phone calls, to determine which product solutions would meet the needs of each customer.
  • Utilize sales skills to perform a needs analysis with every customer.
  • Multitask in a fast-paced environment handling multiple mediums of communication simultaneously including phone, email, and chat.
  • Become a product/service expert with the ability to relay such information to the customer.
  • Responsible for utilizing multiple customer databases to access, change, or input account information for new and existing customers.
  • Work cross-functionally with all areas of the company such as Marketing, Operations, and Outside Sales.
  • Utilize scheduling tools to efficiently delegate appointments to both Outside Sales and Service.
  • Achieves monthly key performance metrics, call productivity standards, call quality performance, defined sales call flow structure, and adherence to provided schedule.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly sales quotas.
  • Return all voicemails, email, and other follow up required within the same business day.

Sales Engineer

Summary:

The Sales Engineer will have a dedicated focus on our security and fire business. This Sales Engineer will provide detailed proposals from our outside sales opportunities within the local Georgia market.

 

Main Work Duties:

  • Prepares cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional and technical personnel

  • Cultivate and support Security projects and associated fire opportunities with strategic end-user customers and contractors in commercial, institutional and energy and industrial markets.

  • Work with operations personnel to execute growth, development, sales and marketing of all Security solutions offered by EMC Security.

  • Conduct customer site walkthroughs and estimate both security system installations and service opportunities as required.

  • Develop and implement sales marketing strategies with outside sales to penetrate assigned vertical markets.

  • Take a leadership role with select product partners in support of their business development activity.

  • Construct and submit professional written proposals within established deadlines.

 

Skills:

  • Commercial Security systems and fire alarm design and operational knowledge and a general understanding of building electrical systems - Proven background with reviewing Security design specifications & plans - Knowledge of Security Management Systems

  • NICET I or II Certification - Formal strategic selling or other type of professional sales training - Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

Commercial Project Manager

Job Title: Commercial Project Manager

Department: Commercial Security

Reports To: Commercial Operations Manager

Summary of Position: Provide Commercial Project Management of key customer installations. Support Operations Manager with inspections/quotes of newly installed systems and prospective customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following.

  • Under general supervision, responsibilities include planning, scheduling, organizing and directing, application engineering, material and equipment procurement, field installation and start-up of assigned projects. Ensures projects are effectively executed within budgeted cost and time schedules and ensure positive cash flow. In addition, position is key interface with the customer and responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance on all assigned projects.
  • Participates in pre-bid reviews and sales to operations turnover meetings to evaluate accuracy of the sales estimate and job layout. Analyzes plans, construction contract specifications and codes to determine project requirements. Follows up with appropriate management to assure understanding and satisfaction of job scope.
  • Interact with the project customer on as needed basis with all project schedules, issues or concerns. Coordinate with EMC installers/technicians and subcontractors onsite
  • Manage Commercial projects assigned to you to include:

 

  • Timelines for completion
  • Technical challenges with the installation
  • Change order requests (sales to deliver based on your recommendations)
  • Provide Project Management support and training to other technicians as it relates to best practices for installations
  • Provide installations/services primarily for high-end customers/key accounts
  • Work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines outlined by the company or customer
  • Assist with designing systems for prospective commercial customers
  • Project Manage the Product Training of customer for all systems installed. Includes customer employee and or executive level training
  • Research best installation practices to better serve the company and customer
  • Assist Operations Manager in various duties, keeping him/her informed of technician, sales or paperwork issues
  • Assist in the installation development of field personnel
  • High-level product overview for the customer. Details as to how the system(s) work
  • Interface and communicate with customers throughout the installation cycle.      
  • Follow up with customer following installation to insure customer satisfaction
  • Work in conjunction with the policies and procedures set forth by the company
  • Adhere to any updates or changes to current policies and procedure

Minimum Requirements (skills):

  • Strong project management experience in a technical environment (fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with access control, networking, IP camera systems and fire/burglary alarm systems
  • Low voltage license (attained within one year of position acceptance)
  • NICET Level II certification preferred
  • Effective communications skills to represent the company to the customer and other outside contacts
  • Strong financial analytical skills including cost control and Schedule of Values (SOV) development
  • Extremely high overall knowledge of the Commercial industry as it relates to our current technology and business model
  • Ability to explain highly technical information to the customer/ non- technical people
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision or oversight and maintain the highest integrity related to installation practices
  • Reading blue prints and understanding local and national codes/laws

Compensation:

This is a salary position with exempt status. Annual salary is based on individual skill sets and industry background. All other benefits offered by the company pertain to this position.

Residential Security System Installation and Service Technician

JobDescription:

Local Security Company owned by Jackson EMC, Walton EMC and Greystone Power, three of the nation’s largest electric utility EMC companies, is seeking qualified and experienced installation and service technicians to serve the customers of EMC Security.

Requirements(Skills):

  • 3 years field experience installing and servicing security, fire andother related systems for residential application
  • Experience with major brands of GE Security, Ademco and DSC
  • Experience installing both hard-wired and wireless systems.Must be familiar with construction principles and how to effectively install hard-wired systems in both new and existing homes.
  • Must be able to demonstrate efficient use of tools of retrofit installation such fish tape, glow-rods, levels,sheetrock saws, etc.
  • Must have experience trouble-shooting existing systems isolating and repairing systems.
  • Must be able to use effectively voltage/ohm meters to install andtrouble-shoot
  • Must be able to work in confined areas such as crawlspaces and attics
  • Must be able to be on-call several times a year to handle after hours and service calls. Flat on- call base pay plus any hourly paid for time spent on call responding to customers

Commercial Installation/Service Technician

Department: Commercial

Reports To: Field Supervisor/Project Manager

Summary of Position:

The Installation and/ or Service Technician will perform installations of electronic control systems which may include door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication and fire alarm systems including cable management, network switches, point sensors, signaling devices and associated hardware. As a Commercial technician, this person is expected to be a highly skilled leader on the install team.

  • Provide installations for commercial businesses
  • Provide service for commercial businesses
  • Provide senior support to other technicians as it relates to installations/service and best practices for installations
  • Support the Operations/Project Managers with occasional installation inspections. Creating detailed documentation to reflect any inadequacies performed by the technician and provides report to the department head immediately.
  • Assist with designing systems for prospective commercial customers.
  • Completes all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that systems are complete and operational according to contract and company policy
  • Troubleshoots new system installations to ensure that they are functioning properly and that they meet local, county, state, and/or federal codes and any licensing and/or insurance requirements
  • Training of all systems installed. Either at employee and or executive levels
  • Research new technology and best practices to better serve the company and customer
  • Support customers and technicians through-out the day through telephone technical support when needed
  • Support EMC Security with the latest technology
  • Assist in the development of field personnel
  • Interface with customers and executives of companies during and after installation
  • Complete all paperwork prior to leaving job site. Interfacing with customer before leaving job site
  • Work in conjunction with the policies and procedures set forth by the company.
  • Adhere to any updates or changes to current policies and procedure

Minimum Requirements (skills):

  • Minimum of 3 year experience working with access control, fire and burglary system and CCTV
  • Proficient with running/bending conduit
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
