"I transferred my monitoring service from ADT to EMC and couldn't be happier. The ADT monitoring was more than double the price and less than a quarter of the service. The EMC on-site tech knew more about my security equipment then the ADT tech who installed it! I learned how to program my keypad properly and if my alarm goes off now I get a call in less than 15 seconds from EMC to check on me. My phone line to ADT went down 4 months before I fired them and I didn't even know it. The EMC tech found the disconnect leaving me UNmonitored my last 4 months with ADT!! "We went out for bids on restoration of the whole house audio system, and EMC won the bid hands down. Other vendors were either slow to respond, or didn't follow through with appointments and/or responses to our RFP. In the end we saved over $1,600 versus the next lowest bidder and ended up with a system that had much greater functionality and controller interfaces to smart devices (iPods, iPhones, & iPads). The installation work was phased with our terrace level basement remodel, and the pre-wire was expedited to next day completion to get out ahead of the sheet rock subcontractors. My existing equipment was previously monitored by another company and he knew everything needed to complete his job and work around the obstacles. Mr. Furth not only removed his shoes upon entering my home (the pile of shoes at the front door alerted him that this is what my family does), but he offered to help me re-hang a back-up smoke alarm that was out of batteries and sitting off to the side.
