EMC Security’s redundant monitoring centers are the most technologically advanced with the highest certifications and standards in the industry.
This section will answer three important questions for you:
- Why EMC Security customers are among the safest, most protected customers, all with No Contract.
- Why no other alarm company can match EMC Security’s redundant central station monitoring architecture for your security and peace of mind.
- Why EMC Security’s customers experience the most comprehensive monitoring service available at the best value starting at only $16.95 with No Contract.
When EMC Security decided to build its own central station, we knew the old standards would not provide customers with the safest, highest level of protection. Remember the ice storm in January 2011, or the severe thunderstorms of August 2012 that affected several 911 call centers across the state shutting them down for hours, causing them to get assistance from other county 911 call centers to relay emergency calls? Natural disasters are a part of life and they may not happen every day, but monitoring centers should be prepared for natural disasters every day. A single point of failure central station is simply not an option for EMC Security and our customers. In demanding that customers have peace of mind and the highest level of protection, we decided to provide what is called fully “redundant” monitoring service to customers. Receiving fully redundant monitoring service means that two monitoring stations located in different geographic locations are monitoring customers’ homes and businesses simultaneously and seamlessly ensuring that customers receive the best protection possible with the fastest response time- in seconds, not minutes. Customers receive local, fully redundant monitoring service for just $16.95 a month and NEVER a contract.
As a result, EMC Security (headquartered in Suwanee, GA) and Crime Prevention Security Systems (headquartered in Gainesville, FL) formed a partnership operating under the name “Universal Security Monitoring” to provide customers with live, fully redundant monitoring offering the highest, most sophisticated level of protection possible to customers. This partnership was the result of two alarm companies discovering a solution to deliver the highest quality of monitoring service to their customers. Universal Security Monitoring far exceeds the UL Listing requirements. In addition to Universal Security Monitoring’s UL Listed monitoring center, all monitoring center operators have also achieved all of the proper certification and training for alarm handling proficiency. While UL Listing requirements and training certification are a good starting point, for Universal Security Monitoring it is the bare minimum of standards. For example, the UL required response time for alarms is two minutes. However, Universal Security Monitoring’s standard is to respond to alarms in seconds, not minutes. Universal Security Monitoring’s monitoring center is UL Listed, fully redundant, and has the fastest alarm response time in the industry.
Universal Security Monitoring’s central monitoring center operations are truly one of a kind. Our unique monitoring service architecture is the only one in Atlanta that is fully redundant, with customers being monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days per week simultaneously. Should anything (such as a natural disaster or catastrophic happen to one monitoring center, the other monitoring center continues to monitor seamlessly without any interruption or down-time. Universal Security Monitoring believes full time active redundancy is far superior to a third party fail-over disaster recovery center which is the common backup for most of the other alarm monitoring companies in Atlanta. A third party fail-over disaster recovery center means that should one monitoring center be compromised in any way, monitoring must then be switched over to a back-up facility which could take up to several hours. Universal Security Monitoring believes the third party fail-over method employed by other central stations is substandard and does not provide customers with the highest quality of monitoring possible. Customers continue to receive this one of a kind monitoring service for only $16.95 and No Contract, earning their business every day.
It would be a pleasure to host a complete tour of our operation, and to meet our central station management team. Our monitoring facility is specially designed to allow customers to tour the operation without compromising the security of our monitoring center. Universal Security Monitoring Achieves CSAA "Five Diamond Certification.”
Universal Security Monitoring announces their achievement of “Five Diamond Certification” for all of their operators.
This Certification testifies that 100% of Universal Security Monitoring's central station operators have achieved proficiency and certification by passing the CSAA Central Station On-Line Operator Training Course. These courses cover virtually all phases of central station communications with customers, law enforcement, fire, and emergency services communications centers. This critical area of communications is the life-saving link between the residential or business properties and the law enforcement, fire and emergency services in local areas. There are approximately 2,700 central stations in the United States, which communicate and interact with the law enforcement, fire and emergency services agencies. Of this group, fewer than one hundred central stations have achieved the "Five Diamond Certified" status, even fewer monitoring stations
practice redundant monitoring. Universal Security Monitoring is the only company to provide redundant monitoring service in Georgia and Florida.
Universal Security Monitoring is also a UL Listed Central Station. What does being UL Listed mean? Universal Security Monitoring has met or exceeded the requirements set forth by Underwriter’s Laboratories. These requirements cover the building structure, alarm receiving and automation equipment, redundant emergency power, staffing levels, response times, and emergency procedures. Universal Security Monitoring’s monitoring facility meets all of the
requirements for UL Listing certification including building qualifications, dual sources of power through generator backups, fail safe communication equipment. You will find Universal Security Monitoring UL certification listed in that name in the UL directory of monitoring stations. The central station UL Certification number is UUFX.S24734.
