An EMC Medical Alert system was installed in Braselton, Georgia for an 81 year old man that was living in a mobile home next to his son’s house. He did not have a phone line in the motor home; however, because the EMC Medical Alert has two-way-voice through the pendant and covers a distance of approximately 500 feet, the base unit was connected to the phone service in the son’s home. Two days after installation, the customer fell and could not get up. He activated the system and spoke directly to our local monitoring center personnel, who immediately dispatched paramedics to the residence. The operators stayed in communication with the elderly man until help arrived.
