Who will own the security system after it is installed?
You, the customer.
Is it a requirement to sign a long-term alarm monitoring contract?
No. Your contract is month to month. We believe we have to earn your business each month.
What is the alarm monitoring rate?
$16.95 a month for alarm monitoring.
Will the monthly alarm monitoring rate increase if I add fire, silent alarm or medical emergency response to the system?
No, it will still be only $16.95 a month for alarm monitoring.
Can I protect my home from phone line cuts or failure?
Yes, EMC Security can offers added protection for your security system / alarm monitoring. We offer several reliable wireless communication options, including web-interactive.
What is the warranty period on parts and labor?
100% for one year.
Is the alarm monitoring station UL approved for both burglary and fire? Is it local?
Yes. We monitor locally with a state-of-the-art, UL approved facility.
Will the security system automatically notify my electric provider if there is a power outage?
Yes. This is part of our 24-hour monitoring service. .
Can I add equipment to the security system without having to replace the control panel?
Yes. The security system is modular to add features as you need them.
If I am a Jackson, Walton or Greystone member, can I be billed on my electric service bill?
Yes. As an added convenience, your monthly fee can be added as a line item on your electric bill.
Am I required to be a Jackson, Walton or Greystone EMC Customer to be a customer of EMC Security?
No. Though we are a service provided by those three utility companies, we also serve clients outside of their service area.
Will the security company sell my contract to someone else?
No. There is no contract.
