Our Roots

EMC Security, home security and alarm monitoring in the Metro Atlanta and Georgia areas, is owned in equal parts by the electric utility companies of Jackson EMC, Walton EMC, and GreyStone Power. The companies have each provided over 80 years of service to Georgia residents. It's been a goal of EMC Security to continue the tradition of providing the best customer service possible. We take great pride in our roots, and reflect back on them to create offers such as the "month-to-month" alarm monitoring agreement, which has been one of the many company standards adhered to since inception.
Jackson Electric Membership Corporation is the nation's second largest electric cooperative serving one of the fastest growing areas in the U.S., with almost 200,000 customers in metro Atlanta and northeast Georgia.
Walton Electric Membership Corporation is a not-for-profit electric utility that supplies energy to more than 100,000 accounts in ten Northeast Georgia counties. It was started in 1936 to supply electricity to people that investor-owned utilities refused to serve.
GreyStone Power Corporation is a member-owned, non-profit electric cooperative dedicated to providing its members with the most reliable electric service possible at the lowest possible rates. GreyStone provides electricity to residential, business, school and industrial members in eight west Metro Atlanta counties, serving over 111,000 accounts.
